Starting Out: Laboratory
The Laboratory exists for a large number of reasons and can aid tamers in all that they do
Digivolution
The lab is the only place where natural digivolution can take place, when a digimon is ready to digivolve the lab will contact the tamer and let them know. The lab can also let a tamer know before hand what the likely outcomes of their digimon's digivolution might be. The lab does not control spirit digivolution or armor digivolution
DNA Digivolution
Also known as Jogress the lab can combine 2 or more digimon into a stronger form. In most cases the lab can tell you what the outcomes may be, but there are margins for error. The stronger the two digimon were originally the stronger the offspring will be. When combining a digimon Champion and below the outcome is usually a Rookie, there are special cases however
Misc Data Application
Aside from the Data Smith the lab is the only place to apply misc data. The outcomes cannot be predetermined like they can be within the Data Smith but it is free. Any data can be applied to any digimon but their are risks. Once misc data has been applied it cannot be removed at the lab
Disassemble
If you receive a digimon that you do not like or want you can take it to the lab to be broken down into misc data. This gets rid of the digimon and in exchange grants the tamer misc data that the digimon was composed of, in some cases its the only way to get some of the rarer misc data thats out there
Level Placement
If you receive a digimon that you do not like or want you may also take it to the lab and have its levels transferred into a different digimon. The digimon wont receive all of the levels of host digimon but in most cases its HP will be strengthened and new moves may also be obtained in rare cases
Element Switch
For a price (200 BITS) the laboratory can switch the element of any digimon that you posses to any element of your choice. The price increases by 200 BITS every time you use this function however
