From the distance to the relative right of the group a sound could be heard. It was faint at first but it grew louder until the four tamers could make out the sound of a motor, if any of them would be familiar with motorcycles they would recognize it quickly. Dust spiraled around behind a humanoid like figure riding something; riding a motorcycle. One hand held the bike steady as the other held a gun pointed in the opposite direction.

From the opposite direction a massive dragon like beast stirred up digital dust as it scurried towards the group. On closer inspection, the digimon was a giant alligator look alike. Its elongated snout was almost as long as the rest of its body, the said snout sported a number of sharp, large, looking teeth. Behind the gator digimon a small army of dark digimon followed. Recognizable champions and ultimates all lined up behind the large looking reptile.

Shots rang out from the mysterious digimon on the bike, the powerful shot turned entire groups of the champion and ultimate digimon into data. It seemed like there was a war, and Kento and his group had just walked in the middle of it. The alligator and his army of evil versus the lone biker that became more powerful with each kill.

"This could be our chance! If we can take out one or two of the wounded Devimon, we'll be set. All we need to do is get back to the gate before the battle ends, or before any of them notice us. If we can do that, we can settle the earlier dispute." Inari said with a sort of fire in her eye.

"Are you kidding me? Did you see what that one shot did to all of those perfect and adult level digimon? There is no way in hell I'm staying here for this." Dirge said with an almost rageful fear of the battle.

Kento looked at the rider, and then back at the digimon behind him

A leviamon and a beelzemon? two demon lords at each others throats

Kento really wanted to get his hands on the guns that the Beelzemon had, but knew that it was outside of his power level.

"In order to secure a Devimon we would first have to identify one, then we would have to get into the line of fire of where the Beelzemon is firing and the digimon army are attacking, a bit risky. We would also have to find a Devimon strong enough to withstand such blasts. All these things are not possible. Our best bet would be to wait until the battle has concluded and wait for digimon who wish to collect some fallen digimon's data, if the Beelzemon doesnt take it all. Not to mention one of our comrades is without a digimon and the other is afraid of a mega"

Kento quickly withdrew his Psychemon fearing that the digimon may get hit by a random attack. He then cooly combed his hair waiting for the other tamers to marvel at his genius and was obviously baiting Dirge whom he considered to be a wild card

With Beelzemon's long range shots, the army has significantly dwindled in size by the time the bike had reached a relative closeness in range. Dark beams shot at the mega digimon only to be dodged or blocked without much effort. The other attacks from the ultimate and champion levels did about as much as good. A few strong or lucky digimon were spared from being coded by the lord of gluten. However the damage was so sever that they laid on the ground, sprawled out waiting for death.

Leviamon trampled over the fallen as it made a dash towards the other lord of sin. Leaping off of his bike Beelzemon began firing directly upon his main target. His bike, Behemoth used a natural ramp to get airborne and fire upon the less digimon attack its master. The motorcycles back wheel spun out on the face of a Devimon, causing it to fall to the ground. With all of the dust and flying code it was difficult to tell what became of it. The only thing the tamers could see was that it didn't fly back up.

"This could be our chance, we have to go see what happened!" Inari groaned.

"Screw you all, go ahead and go out there and get killed for all I care. Then once the battles over and settled, I'll make sure to go out and collect all of your data." Dirge said with his arms crossed.

The nameless female tamer that had recently lost her Hawkmon stood over a downed digimon that had landed nearby. It was critically injured and leaking a good amount of data. The Velgmon tried to cry out, however as it was, it was much to weak even to do that. Next to the tamer was another figure, it was roughly the same size as the tamer; or at least that's what it appeared to be. On a slightly closer look, Kento could see the figure was on top of the downed ultimate.

Kento's head turned every so slightly as he tried to make out the figure that had appeared next to the girl.

"Dirge since your afraid of the dark area stay here and look after that thing thats over the Velgmon, try and protect our future team mate and if your lucky you will absorb our data"

Kento motions to Inari to follow him over to the large dust cloud where the Devimon had fallen, if the two tamers were lucky they wouldnt attract any further attention from the battling digimon. Kento had planned to get in do damage retrieve the data and get out. If he had to he would restart from the entrance if it meant survival for his first round in the dark area

Inari follows Kento into the cloud of dust, Dirge watches with his arms crossed as they disappear from site. In the immediate area there were no survivors of the battle, there were however items and weapons that didn't turn to code once their masters did. Scorch marks and cracks scarred the digital ground from the impacts of the falling digimon. The overwhelming amount of dust made the area somewhat hazy.

"Did you see where the Devimon fell? I thought it was over here, but I don't see any traces at all; not even a single sign that it crashed." Inrai said walking around with her arms stretched out.

From out of nowhere a claw shoots out from Kento's right. It wraps around Inari and pulls her farther into the dusty haze. From this, Kento could tell two things. First of all it was most likely a Devimon or an evolution of Devimon, and second if it wanted her dead it would have speared her instead of pulling her away. Another likely hood was that it only knew she was there because she had spoken.

As Kento passed some of the items he tried to get his digivice to scan them in hopes of picking up some extra Misc Data. He enters into the large dust cloud with Inari and squints his eyes hoping that he can see a bit better

I hope this dust doesnt mess up my hair, ill be really upset if it messes up my hair

Kento's head was not in the game at all, and all he could think about was his hair as him and Inari walked through the mountain of dust.

"Did you see where the Devimon fell? I thought it was over here, but I don't see any traces at all; not even a single sign that it crashed."

Just as Kento was about to respond he saw a claw grab Inari, he tried to make it out but the collection of dust was to great. He stood still covering his mouth with his arm to prevent himself from coughing, with his free hand Kento grabs his digivice and reloads Enki

Kento has his digimon face the opposite way of the Devimon, so that his back was towards it, and then rub his chains together. If the digimon did indeed react to sound then it would be in for a nasty surprise when it hit hard metal

As Kento went along scanning the items they were added to his digivice. However that didn't mean that they were worth anything. Many of the items had been broken or even completely destroyed in the battle. Just because the outward appearance looked fine, didn't mean everything worked.

Kento's plan worked, and worked well. The powerful claw reacted to the sound of the rattling chains, just as it had when Inari spoke. There was, however a slight hitch in Kento's plan. The claws pierced the metal slab, with its hooks firmly planted the clawed digimon pulled Enki into the smog of dust as it did the other tamer.

Kento celebrated as he looked down at his digivice seeing that the data transferred successfully into his digivice, however when he looked back up he had caught the end of the claw entering into his digimon. Kento's face was full from shock as the claw had moved to fast for him to be able to tell if it did indeed belong to a Devimon or something worse, the digimon had however fell for Kento's trap, kinda.

Both its hands are probably occupied, and if Inari can release her Guilmon that thing will have its handsful

Kento laughed to himself as looked and saw that his Psychemon hadnt sustained any damage. He up-righted his digivice and placed it back on his hip and began to move silently towards the claw, it was time for him to spring his trap. Enki released a Colorful Spark from the tip of his horn almost to act like a flare for his tamer.

The colorful spark worked wonders and lead Kento right to his partner digimon. Ruble, a small mountain of rocks and boulders lay on top of the downed digimon. Only its on arm with a bit of its torso and its head was free from cover. Inari was near the perfects head, trying to dig it free. Her eyes were ridden with fear, but they soon perked up when Kento arrived and the claw was full, Enki stuck to it. With reinforcements finally there the female tamer stood up and kicked the NeoDevimon in the face before backing up and releasing her Black Guilmon.

"We'll take him out with one attack!" Inari exclaimed to her partner.

Guilmon's mouth began to glow the same purple glow that took out the Greymon from earlier. From point blank range, that attack to the face may even do damage to the perfect level foe trapped under the hill of dirt and rock.

Kento looks moves quickly desperately chasing the light in front of him and before long he comes upon the suspended body of his Psychemon, relieved Kento bends over and catches his breath. As he looks us he see's that the thing that they thought was a Devimon was indeed a higher form, a Neo Devimon

N....n....Neo Devimon!!!

Kento was reluctant he didnt think that two rookies could take on a perfect, but the attack from the mega, Beelzemon may have been enough to put the Neo Devimon on edge

We were suppose to bring back the skull of a Devimon i wonder if a Neo Devimon skull will suffice

As Kento pondered he saw Inari release her Black Guilmon and it prepared the attack which managed to fell the Black Greymon. A feeling of warmth overtook the tamer, if the attack could injure a champion, there was a chance that it could end the Neo Devimon. Kento gave a nod to Enki as the digimon released his Colorful Spark aiming for the head of the Neo Devimon and making sure to not hit the debris that was keeping him pinned

If things go wrong we may have to leave, fast

NeoDevimon just stared at the two tamers like nothing had happened. The kick, the colorful spark, and not even the charging attack seemed to get a rise out of the foe. NeoDevimon retracted its arm pulling Enki into the path of the Black Guilmon's fire. The superior strength of the perfect was more than enough to hold down the rookie, even in the sort of condition it was in.

Inari looked at Kento and then to her Guilmon and then at Enki and NeoDevimon. She was clearly having a problem deciding what to do. Before with Dirge's Agumon, the vixen didn't hesitate in attacking. What would she do this time?

Enki: 17 Hp

Black Guilmon: 25 Hp

NeoDevimon: 5 Hp (+2 per turn)

Kento withdrew his digimon back into his digivice, hoping to free him from the Neo Devimon's clutches, if anything the hand of the Neo Devimon would be gone even if it meant that Kento didnt recieve any reward for the battle

"It seems to use us against one another, and our attacks alone cant defeat it we are ill prepared for an ultimate level digimon even if hes pinned down."

Kento was surprised that the dust cloud had lasted as long as it it did. He looked around for a moment wondering what could sustain such a thing. He had hoped that a stray attack wouldnt clip him or his current ally.

Sounds of explosion bursting through the air and tremors told that both of the two megas were still at it. A sudden gust of wind raised a small sand storm, that buffeted the tamers for a few seconds. The same made the Black Guilmon hesitate for a moment. In that moment with its freed hand the NeoDevimon skewered Guilmon in its chest. Released the attack from up in the air, it missed the targeted area, but still dealt a bit of damage. With flick of its wrist, NeoDevimon flung the Black Guilmon at its tamer; sending the both of them flying three more feet.

"Pathetic humans, I'm a servant of Lord Leviamon; you being in the Dark Area makes you his servents, and therefor my underlings. Do you really think you can take my data without punishment?" the digimon said in a snobby higher class kind of way.

NeoDevimon shot its arm at Kento, trying to spear him like it had with the Black Guilmon. However the attack was interrupted a moment before it could connect. "Data Crusher" A tentacle with what appeared to be a spear point stabbed the arm to the ground. A Chrysalimon with the female tamer standing next to it, was the source of the attack.

Kento couldnt help but flinch when he was the Black Guilmon hesitate

I could have sworn i specifically said dont hesitate

His thoughts were however short changed at the Neo Devimon's claw neared him, the tamer closed his eyes expecting the worse, but when he felt no pain he slowly opened them only to reveal that he had been saved by the tamer he had left with Dirge. Kento looked around for a moment within the dust cloud but couldnt seem to find Dirge anywhere nearby, with the new champion on his team he felt a renewed sense of vigor, Kento released his Psychemon Enki and once again prepared for battle. The small digimon gathers a colorful spark on his horn and fires it at the Neo Devimon, knowing that his Rookie attack wouldnt do much damage, but if anything it would cause a small distraction which could probably open up an attack for the Chrysalimon

With the strength of the perfect, the Chrysalimon had to use two of its speared tentacles to keep the arm pinned down. Even then it was clear the new champion was struggling do do even that. It was unable to move, save the extending arms, six of them. The colorful spark caused the foe to sneer at the tamer and Enki. That stare almost distracted Kento from Dirge barging in. He was holding a bloodied arm and fell before Kento's feet.

"That crazy bitch and her digimon are eating the data of the fallen digimon. She took out my Agumon and did this to me, stop her before she can take out the NeoDvimon or we'll all be screwed!" Dirge said on the ground laying in a pool of blood.

A spear point ended the babbling of Dirge on a more permanent note. He was right in front of Kento when it happened, the tamer was able to watch the life drain before he was digitized and take elsewhere. Inari looked on in horror she was to awe strucken to say or do anything. She just sat there with her mouth open. Despite being critically injured just moments before, Black Guilmon stands up and stands in front of his tamer.

Enki began to glow, the data on the digimon had finally become accustomed to its host. The fur the little reptile like digimon wore turned a sliverly shade and became as hard as steel. Its horn turned pure grey as it transitioned into metal as well. The shackled disappeared from the digimon's feet and turned Enki's claws into hardened iron. Upon its back a metal turtle like shell formed. The shackles on its front paws came unshackled turning into chain whips. Enki's speed returned to what it was before the slab was placed on it, even with all of the weight still there.

Kento was relieved to see the Chrysalimon hold down the NeoDevimon even if it was struggling. The tamer however was in awe as he saw Dirge struck down before him, he however wasnt as frightened as Inari had been.

She must be upset over hawkmon, this is quite a bit for an entrance exam. Not only do i have to take out a NEO DEVIMON but i also have to potentially slay a comrade or risk not being able to enter.

Kento thought for a moment, if he slayed Chrysalimon then Neo Devimon would suck up its data and get stronger, and if he slayed Neo Devimon then Chrysalimon would suck up its data and get stronger, there wasnt much in the way of choices. However the Chrysalimon saved his life earlier, and had the female tamer wanted him gone she would have done so earlier.

Kento lets out a deep sigh, and then looks down noticing that his digimon had changed

"That looks good on you."

The tamer looks over at the fear stricken Inari

"This is no time for you to be panicking, you failed to attack before and that thing is only going to get stronger, power up your attack and take out that Neo Devimon before we cant hold it down any longer"

Enki's silver fur reflects the purple and orange background of the Dark Area as the digimon spins his chains around in a circle slowly waving his arms, the chains clash back and forth, the digimon tilts his head slowly to the side as his horn lights up and produces a colorful spark. The spark moves down his chains and enters into it creating his new attack Lightning Whip Enki whips his chains coming from his right side and pulling them down to the left and back up again

Enki: 17 Hp

The chain and the spear hit at the same time causing the explosion of data to split. Half of it transferred into Kento's digivice and the rest was gobbled up by the greedy Chrysalimon. The girl looked at Kento sideways with her head tilted slightly, her eyes open wide. She held up her hand and with drew her digimon into the digivice before its attacks could hit either the two tamers. The digimon was defiantly one that would fit right in, in the dark area. Turning around the girl left and began collecting the data of any strangling digimon that hadn't already been consumed by Beelzemon.

Materializing in his hands was a skull, Kento held a Devimon Skull misc data. With a quick look down, Inari pulled out her digivice and transferred four digishrooms to her Black Guilmon. Both tamer and digimon stepped in front of Kento. Inari looked up with threatening eyes, saddened, but threatening.

"You know I can't let you take that." Inari said. straight out.

"I kind of knew it would happen this way, you were acting pretty cowardly before"

Kento looked within his digivice seeing that he had no mushrooms to heal his digimon with the tamer gave a short shrug and held up his digivice a hologram of his hunters monocle appearing

Well i guess its time to do this huh Enki?

Kento looked over to his Silver Psychemon who was already ready to rumble, the digimon's chains slowly dragged against the ground as got into his fighting stance, his first order of business would be to disable the mouth of the Black Guilmon so it couldnt use it large attack it had before, its second would be to counter all physical attacks with its claws seeing as how Enki's were harder than the Guilmon

I could just log out of here and go back to the HQ and avoid this fight, but that would be uncool

Kento had a stuck up look on his face that looked almost like a duck face, he took out his comb and positioned his hair carefully

"Mission Start!!!"

A colorful spark quickly ran down the Silver Psychemon's right chain as he whipped it towards his opponent, seconds later another colorful spark ran down the opposite chain on his left arm as it two was hurled towards its opponent

"Pyro Sphere"

A purple orb shot from the digimon's mouth, the explosion caused the chains to be sent flying back at the user. As the spark transferred back into Enki's body, the full charge of the colorful spark zapped the metallic digimon. A bit stunned from the attack, Guilmon charged and slammed into the foe with its claws. The claw attack was powerful but did little damage.

Enki: 8 Hp

Black Guilmon: 25 Hp

Kento was shocked to see the Guilmon throw back the alternating chains so quickly, it would have to have nerves of steel to wait until the attacks had lined up just perfectly before hitting him. A sour face comes over the tamer, as the claws bounce off of the hardened fur goat of the Psychemon he ducks down placing his horn directly under the Black Guilmon's chin

Horn Attack

Enki jumps up into the air with his horn, aiming to put a large hole in the Guilmon's chin/mouth and prevent it from releasing any more Pyro Spheres of any kind. At the apex of its jump Enki twirls his chains around

Chain Tornado

Kento looks over the battle cautiously

"It may be best if we resort only to melee"

The horned uppercut took the Black Guilmon totally by surprise, knocking it off balance. Falling over the chains whipped the downed foe over and over doing more and more damage. A sudden double claw attack at the right moment stopped the two spinning chains leave Enki wide open. Black Guilmon leaped to its feet and retreated back, opening its mouth it began to charge an attack.

Enki: 8 Hp

Black Guilmon: 16 Hp

I suppose hes just going to leave his mouth open, sounds like an invitation to me

As Enki began his decent to the ground he fired a quick Colorful Spark aimed at the mouth of his enemy

Most of Guilmon's attacks are grenades, if that hits it will do more damage to him than a horn attack to the mouth

Enki dropped down to the ground and began to sprint, his head low to the ground and his arms behind him, he needed a back up plan in case his colorful spark didnt detonate the bomb that the Black Guilmon was forging. Enki strafes around his foe, forcing him to move and re aim, he then sweeps his chain aimed at the feet of the Black Guilmon

If i trip him that attack wont go anywhere, and if he tries to repel my chain like he did before his blast will hit the ground damaging him in the process

This time Enki waited until his chain connected before he shot the electricity through it

A quick and weak claw attack blocked the colorful spark from hitting the grenade growing in the digimons mouth. However it did cause the reptile to reel back and spit out the attack prematurely. The explosion caused the secondary chain attack to hit the ground before they could reach the Black Guilmon. It was obvious that the Guilmon was outmatched in mid and close ranged attacks, so the tamer opted for long range. Black Guilmon began strafing around Enki shooting of the small grenade attacks. It was like a bombardment of heavy shelling. The tactic was desperate, and consumed a lot of resources, but if it were to get in just a couple of attacks it could be successful.

Enki: 8 Hp

Black Guilmon: 14 Hp

Enki raised his eyebrows as he saw the large pyro grenade come out, he was more shocked that the attack had missed and his chain was repelled once more. With both of the digimon strafing it would mean that the fight would draw out, and with the Black Guilmon using up a good bit of his energy that would be for the best, Enki however thought to help things along, he paid close attention to the mines that were being laid out and ran in the opposite direction of the Black Guilmon sending his chain to the back of the digimon's leg.

Enki had hoped that the chain would get caught in digimon's legs and cause him to fall over and wrap around him, the digimon would then proceed to attempt to throw the Black Guilmon into his own grenade field.

Enki: 8 Hp

The field of battle began to fill up with basketball sized pot holes from the exploding attacks. With ease the Black Guilmon used it strong legs to jump over the chain to avoid it and any electricity in may have been carrying. It was becoming clear that if this continued the Black Guilmon wouldn't win this.

"Charge!" yelled Inari.

It seemed random, maybe it was, but the digimon now charged straight forward at Enki. Opening its mouth the digimon began to charge an attack. Somehow, in the time since the battle with the Greymon; Inari and her Guilmon grew stronger and now were able to charge the attack while running. This was a bad situation, and only got worse the closer he got.
