"The skull of a Devimon eh?"

Kento thought of the words from the woman within the Chaos Lords. He could only think of one place that would have a plethora of Devimon and that was the Dark Area. It also however would have a few other things that he would like to avoid. As he came through the Terror Gate Kento saw that the road of the Dark Area and was quite puzzled by how it twisted and turned. He had hoped he was the only tamer to think of the dark area, but he knew that that couldnt be true. He slicked his hair back as he normally does

Ill be the coolest one here, and everyone will want to join with me

Kento in his excitement began to venture into the dark area not looking for a tamer to team up with but more so someone who would recognize his coolness. He also wanted to get a few battles under his belt so he could see the after effects of the data that he put onto his digimon

Kento may have been one of the first to think of the Dark Area, but he was far from the only one to think of suck a place. Powerful dark digimon could be seen in the distance roaming around and flying high above. Anyone one of them could be anything from a champion to even a mega. This area was truly a frightening place for just about any beginning tamer. Soon one after another tamer began to flock in from the gates entering the dark area. From the number of them, almost all of the tamers that had been at the meeting were there. Some went off alone and others formed groups of three, four, and even five tamers.

As Kento ventured forth he could see a group of three tamers, they appeared to have been in the Dark Area even longer than Kento himself. The three were in a circle, however Kento was much to far away to see what was happening between the three. However he could see the large Black Greymon that was charging at the group for a good distance away. What will new the tamer do?

unsure if the digimon belonged to any of the three tamers Kento hesitated. It was now his chance to show off how cool he was to the others, and also see how much his digimon had progressed since his battle in the Colosseum.

Cool Time

Kento reloaded his Psychemon, the digimon's horn was the first to materialize followed by his fur and his body. The sound of shackles could be heard as they were placed on the digimon and he sat in almost a slump. Immediately Enki knew what his tamer had wanted him to do,from the tip of his horn he created a colorful spark and launched it at his enemy. He then curled into a ball and tried to roll in an attempt to get closer to his enemy since his hands and feet were bound together and the large slab of metal on his back prevented him from moving to fast. Kento in the mean time took out his come and began to comb his hair making sure it was perfect for his great entrance

The colorful spark fell short of the angry looking Black Greymon by quite a bit, it sizzled and burst when it hit the ground. However this was enough to get the raging beasts attention. It changed its direction and began to charge towards Kento and Enki. The sudden stop stirred up enough dirt and dust to get the other three tamers attention. All three of the tamers released a respective digimon and attack the Black Greymon from behind. In its attempt to roll the Psychemon landed flat on its back on the metal slab. Flailing around the rookie digimon was unable to lift its self from its current position.

If it wasn't for the unwitting attacks of the other three tamers this could have turned into a really bad situation. Nearly knocking the large Greymon over, face first into the ground. Whipping around Black Greymon shot a large black flame at the three other tamers digimon. The force from the attack sent all three of the digimon flying back. Luckily the Greymons attention wasn't on Enki anymore.

Black Guilmon: 15 Hp

Agumon: 17 Hp

Hawkmon: 12 Hp

Black Greymon: 30 Hp

"Enki your embarassing me, if you dont get up they wont think im cool"

Kento gives Enki a discouraging look as he points his comb at him. Enki gives a small roll from side to side as he tries to upright himself. He had to get back in the fray or else he wouldnt be of much use to his tamer. Enki points his horn in the direction of the Black Greymon and lets go of another Colorful Spark

If Enki could manage to upright himself he would take on a new stance where his back was to his enemy and he looked over his shoulder

Enki: 17 Hp

Black Greymon put its head down taking all of the rookie digimons attacks and charging like a bull. The attacks didn't slow it down one bit, even the spark was merely slapped away by the digimons great tail. Black Guilmon was skewered by the Greymon's horn when it collided. The large dinosaur digimon roared a brutal growl as it flung its head up flinging the smaller rookie digimon.

Despite all of its effort the massive weight of the slab and the restrictive nature of the shackles prevented Kento's digimon from getting back to its feet. Just then a large black nova flame shot at the Hawkmon, however before it could hit its tamer returned it to his digivice. A second later the tamer releases the digimon as it attacks using steel like feathers.

Agumon: 17 Hp

Hawkmon: 12 Hp

Black Greymon: 26 Hp

Kento looks at the tactic of the tamer utilizing his Hawkmon and his digivice, then looks back down at his struggling Psychemon

I guess we should follow suit

Kento recalls his digimon to his digivice and then reloads him once more. This time Psychemon goes into a stance where his back is towards the Black Greymon and slowly makes his way towards the digimon, his chains rattling as he does. He fires off a Colorful Spark hoping to take advantage of the bullheaded nature of the Greymon. If hes lucky the Greymon will charge him and attack the metal slab, and if he was luckier the slab would prove to be stronger than the Greymon's attack.

Enki: 17 Hp

The colorful spark got the foes attention as the shocking little attack hit it. Firing off a black nova flame, the attack hit metal slab causing little damage, but it did cause Enki to stumble forward. Annoyed by the sudden feet of defense the Black Greymon lowered it s head and charged. The incredible defense seemed to get the attention of the other three tamers and their digimon. They waited to see how the collision ended before jumping in.

With a mighty slam the Greymon smashed into the metal slab. It lifted both the slab and Enki into the air tossing them, with thud the rookie landed a skid around 10 feet. A crack running all the way up and down the Greymon's horn and skull appeared. However it wasn't the only one that took damage. The slab caused more damage than the grey horn and nova flame combined leaving Enki barely holding on. Luckily as dazed as it was from its attack, the foe didn't notice the approaching tamers with their digimon. All three launching attacks as the crack in the enemies mighty skull.

Agumon: 17 Hp

Hawkmon: 12 Hp

Black Greymon: 12 Hp

Kento celebrates as he rushes over to his digimon. He places his digivice near Psychemon and gives the digimon the two DigiShrooms that he had purchased before.

"Your so cool sometimes"

Kento gives his Psychemon a thumbs up as the digimon climbs back to his feet, he gets into his usual stance and tries to bait the Black Greymon once more, if the Greymon attacked him again it was almost certain that its horn would break. Enki lets out a Colorful Spark also aiming for the horn of the Black Greymon

Enki: 12 Hp

"Mega Flame" A massive all consuming flame of black rage engulfed Enki as it wrapped around the slab. Even the powerful defense was little help against this type of high level champion power. Swiping its large tail the Greymon knocked back all of the other tamers' digimon. The Black Guilmon was nearly coded leaving it unable to attack for the time being. Struggling to its feet the Agumon jumped onto the foes tail and ran up its arched back. It then dug its claw into the crack in the Black Greymons skull cause it to roar in pain.


Enki: 2 Hp

Black Guilmon: 1 Hp

Agumon: 13 Hp

Hawkmon: 8 Hp

Black Greymon: 7 Hp

A sour face came over Kento as he saw his digimon's hp shoot back down to two.

Just when we were starting to look cool

Kento's eyes began to fill with tears, but he then remembered that there were other tamers present

I cant cry in front of them, they will think less of me.

Kento strengthened his will and asked for his Psychemon Enki to do the same. Enki hearing his tamers plea slowly moved towards the Black Greymon, its metal slab in front as usual, and his chains slinking against the ground. He had figured that since the Black Greymon wouldnt have time to notice him, but because of his current mods he couldnt avoid a counter attack. Not to mention his tactic to bait the Black Greymon seemed to have worked a little to well in the past and he ensured the wrath of the champion digimon before. He couldnt take another hit like that. Enki blasted a Colorful Spark towards the mouth of the roaring Black Greymon hoping to limit its ranged attack strength

Enki: 2 Hp

Shaking its head violently trying to fling the Agumon and its claw out of the crack. With all of the volatile movements the colorful spark missed its mark hitting the Black Greymon on another part of its skull doing little damage. Explosions split the skull open a bit further as four of the Hawkmons feathers hit the crack as the rookie flew over the thrashing foe. Hawkmons eyes widened as a dark glow came from the Black Greymons mouth. Seconds later a blast of flame shot up roasting the little bird digimon. Code from the digimon was about to return to the tamers digivice, but was redirected or rather absorbed by the Black Greymon. Hawkmon existed no more in neither the Digital World, or the Dark Area. Back on its feet Black Guilmon had a purple glow coming from its mouth, it was clearly preparing an attack.

Enki: 2 Hp

Black Guilmon: 1 Hp

Agumon: 13 Hp

Black Greymon: 7-4+8 = 11 Hp

Enki grits his teeth as he see's the Hawkmon collected by the Black Greymon. He then looks over to see the Guilmon preparing an attack, Kento also takes note of it, and for the time being they would have to distract the Black Greymon or else risk another digimon becoming "food" for the Black Greymon. Desperate Enki stops his slow walk towards his foe, paying close attention to his tail and the range that it posses. His horn begins to light up as he holds a Colorful Spark and then launches it this time aiming for the chest of the Black Greymon, hoping to neither knock the digimon over and cause Guilmon's attack to miss or hit the Agumon who was distracting it for the moment. He then powers up another Colorful Spark this time trying to gain the Black Greymon's attention he holds on to it for as long as he can looking almost like a sparkler

Enki: 2 Hp

The tamer of the Black Guilmon pointed to an area at the back of the Black Greymons skull where the crack was present. This caused the tamer of the Agumon to yell something, Kento couldn't hear because of the roars of pain. The other tamer even went as far as to charge at the tamer trying to punch him. However it was all for not as the Guilmon launched its attack. "Giga Sphere" A large pyro sphere, roughly the size of the Black Greymons nova flame attack erupted from the Guilmon. The attack him the foe right above where the Agumons claw was stuck in the crack. Black Greymon burst into code as the Agumon went flying, it was severely damaged. Despite the heavy damage the little lizard leaped back to its feet, the pain in its eyes apparent. The words of the Chaos Lord's Queen echoed through Kento's head. "Watch your backs!~" It was a three way stand off, with the outcome yet to be determined as the three digimon and three tamers all face each other in a circle of wills. The data from the Black Greymon floated in the air waiting for the outcome of the battle.

Enki: 2 Hp

Black Guilmon: 1 Hp

Agumon: 1 Hp

Kento comes his hair back one time on each side and looks up at the data of the Black Greymon and then back down at his allies turned foes

"I was thinking we could be friends, it must have been because you saw me cry earlier"

Kento gives his foes his terrible face and points his comb at them. Realizing that his digimon wasnt much in the mobility department he thought it best to attack both at the same time. Taking the Colorful Spark he had been charging Enki blasts it within the direction of the Agumon and then turns his back to the powerful black guilmon. He preps another Colorful Spark and launches it at the Black Guilmon hoping to take him out before he could launch another Giga Sphere

Enki: 2 Hp

A ring of explosions push back the three digimon without actually doing any damage. It would seem the other two had the same idea to try and take out the other two at the same time. Agumon's pepper breath, and Guilmon's pyro sphere canceled out the colorful sparks as the pepper breath and pyro sphere also canceled each other out. Charging it, Agumon and Guilmon began to dance trading attempted swipes and nimbly dodging. Yet again it seemed the battle was still a draw.

Black Guilmon: 1 Hp

Agumon: 1 Hp

"Why not split the data and then finish this after our digimon have rested up and send out a challenge in the arena?"

Kento still unsure of the intentions of the other tamers had his Psychemon stay on the offensive. Psychemon threw another Colorful Spark towards Black Guilmon considering him to be the biggest threat. Kento was ready with his Tamer I.D Number and was willing to trade if the other two tamers were willing to lay down their arms

A fiery pepper breath blocked the shocking attack canceling them both out too far away to do anyone any damage. Both of the tamers nodded in agreement, that this should wait till later. However they didn't agree to trade ID's, so it would be likely that this would be settled later on before the end of the mission. As the two tamers return their digimon the data splits into three and goes into the digivices of the three tamers. The battle was not yet over, but rather postponed, to the other two tamers this was fact.

Kento lets out a sigh of relief as he calls his digimon back to his digivice. As it stood if he had finished the battle there was no promise he wouldnt have come up empty handed. His digivice begins to slowly beep indicating that his Psychemon's health was low.

"Well i guess it wouldnt hurt to rest and hopefully we dont have anything else weird like that pop up."

If Kento avoided the two tamers he may be able to get away with not participating in their battle, at least not until his digimon had finished adjusting to his modifications.

Handicaps dont make us cool

And with that Kento falls asleep

When Kento woke up, the other two tamers were huddled in a group talked and pointing at various locations on a map. A holographic version that the Chaos Lords had mapped out. It was nowhere near complete, but it was more than any of the other guilds had.

"Hey, Kento get up and get over here." said the male tamer.

"We need to figure out a location that we can all agree on." the female tamer said with an attitude.

From the battle, Kento knew the girl was the Black Guilmon's tamer and the guy was the tamer of the Agumon. On other side of them was the tamer or rather the tamer that previously was with Hawkmon. The boy just sat there curled up with his knees against his shoulders. He was staring at his digivice as grey static played across he screen.

"My name is Inari, and this guy is Dirge." added Inari trying to think of something to break the ice.

Kento reels back at the appearance of the two tamers from before, he hadnt expected them to still be here

Shoot i should have ran when i had the chance

Kento was even more surprised when the girl said his name. He made a note of the Inari and Dirge the names sounded familiar to him but he didnt pay it no mind. He combed his hair back and glanced over to the tamer that still owned the hawkmon. There may be a chance that its data was somewhere within the data of the Black Greymon but he wouldnt get the tamers hopes up for no reason.

Kento looked down at his digivice and saw that he only had 100 BITS, and that the last fight netted him none. If he had the necessary funds he would have puchased a new digiegg for the tamer. He would ask Inari and Dirge but they didnt seem the type to help out another tamer, without good reason.

Kento began to look at the map, he was surprised that the Chaos Lords had one, let alone that they would give it to aspiring members.

"My guess would be that Devimon would be further ahead, they are cunning and all that but if we venture to far into this abyss we may encounter something that we cant handle"

"My guess is the weaker ones will be farther in near the area that would contain the stronger perfects. So the stronger Devimon would likely hang out towards the end of the or maybe even the weaker adult area." Inari voiced out.

"How does that make any sense to you? Wouldn't they just be in an area base on their power level?" Dirge said clearly annoyed with the girls attitude.

"Well genius, like Kento said, they're clever. If they're strong they're going to be somewhere, where their word is law and their strength is enough to back it up. The weaker ones would likely be working for stronger digimon, in order to get stronger, kind of like us with the guilds." said the female tamer trying to talk slow for the male counterpart.

Dirge's eye widened at the explanation, it looked like it was suddenly about to sink in. The girl just sat there and shook her head. She looked at her digivice that shown the map, she looked through the things on her digivice. Turning her head she looked at the tamer that had lost his digimon.

"I got a couple unidentified misc data's from that Greymon. Do you think that Hawkmon's data might be tangled up with it?" the female said showing her softer side.

"What the hell does that matter? Even if it is, it's ours now; and I'm sure as hell not giving away something my digimon was nearly wiped out for." said Dirge showing his true nature.

Seeing the lighter side of Inari, Kento decides that it may not be so bad to bring up the pooling together of the BITS to replace the digimon

"We could pool our BITS together and buy her a new digimon. Even if you are selfish 4 rookies on a champion is better than 3. Not to mention mine cannot move to well."

Kento walks over to the tamer staring at her digivice and hands her the 100 BITS that he has. He then looks up at the Dark Area, it had been a while since he looked around and surveyed the area. Using Dirge's logic the champions would be further ahead, yet they encountered a Black Greymon almost as soon as they had arrived. He had only been in the Dark Area once so trying to guess the way that it functioned was beyond his comprehension. Kento places his hands in his pockets and gives a slight slouch to his back and begins to walk forward not really caring if the other tamers followed him or not, if anything he would keep walking until he encountered what he was looking for

Dirge huffed as Inari offered up the amount of bits the tamer needed after Kento's 100 bits. Walking with Kento, it seemed Inari was going to be the only one to follow. However a second later both Dirge and the other female tamer followed. The Dark Area was vast and after a long distance of traveling the four tamers hadn't come across anymore foes. In fact they hadn't seen any of the other tamers. The Dark Area was calm and quiet, nothing could be in the distance other than more land to travel over. Even the digimon that had been soaring through the area were all gone.

"I have a bad feeling about this." Inari said looking around.

"Ah, you're just scared like any typical girl." Derge blurted out seemingly oblivious to everything.

[Ginrai]

Kento moves his toothpick back and forth in his mouth, trying to think. It was true he hadnt seen any of the digimon that had been flying around before. Sweat began to pour down the tamers face as he tried to maintain his cool, he looked left and then looked right. Somehow he had become the leader of this group though he had not wished for it to be this way. He then looked at the tamer who was without a digimon, wondering why she was still present WITHOUT a digimon.

Kento gave the girl a menacing glare and then proceeded to pull out his digimon, Enki.

"Things look like they are about to get really bad really quickly, this may be a trap created by ghosts"

Kento takes an akward stance as he tries to laugh it off but the sweat dripping down his face and the constant swiveling of his head was a clear indicator that the tamer was nervous. Enki however was not so enthusiastic like his master was and simply sat down his chains rattling as he did, slightly tired from having carried around the large metal slab
