Across the entire digital world a wide spread pulse was emitted which caused only those protected by the Guard Teams to be able to digivolve. This has instilled a sense of fear, respect, and hatred for the Guard Teams who now control all forms of digivolution. Currently most of the digital world is most heavily populated by champion and rookie digimon
