DigiTama (デジタマ Dejitama) (Dub: Fresh)

All Digimon are born from DigiTama. They come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors. They typically hatch into Baby I Digimon, but will sometimes hatch directly into a higher form, even an Adult Digimon like Numemon. It is possible for a single Digitama to produce twins. They can be produced in one of three ways:
Random data 'roaming' the Digital World may coalesce into a DigiTama.
After the death of a Digimon, its data will reincarate into a Digitama, usually in the deceased Digimon's lowest form.
After the death of a Jogressed Digimon, instead of reincarnating into two DigiTama as above, sometimes the two Digimon will be reborn as a single combined DigiTama with the potential to grow stronger than their previous forms.
At this stage the digimon is not capable of battle

Baby I (幼年期 Younenki) (Dub:In-Training)

They possess very little offensive capability and generally rely on the care of other Digimon or humans to survive. Most of them attack using bubbles or some other mildly offensive technique, such as hurling themselves at an enemy. Some Digimon skip this stage entirely and will hatch into the Baby II or even Child stage from the DigiTama. At this stage the digimon is not capable of battle

Child (成長期 Seichouki) (Dub: Rookie)

This is the stage when a digimon becomes suitable for battle, its also the stage where evolution begins to branch out the most and most digimon have a wide variety of things they can turn into. Its also the first stage that Misc Data can be applied.

Adult (成熟期 Seijukuki) (Dub: Adult)

Most digimon reach this stage, and if a child (rookie) were to go up against it, it would most likely be squashed with little to no effort. The space for evolution past this stage is branches out, but not as widely as that of the child stage. Misc Data applied during the child stage carries over into this one and can not effect future evolutions. However Misc Data applied during this stage may affect the next. Most digimon reach this stage at level 10
