Dark Area Boot Camp

Jacob ignored the mission on the board and wrapped right into the Dark Area. The instant he walked through the Terror Gate he released all three of his digimon. Jacob wanted to work on a few attack, and what better place to do than than in an area of lawlessness. The tamer decided then to stay by the entrance, that way there would be less of a chance of running into something he and his digimon couldn't handle.

"Jr., I liked that dive bomb and then spinning bubble attack attack you tried before. If we can get them down, we can turn it into an actual attack or two. We'll call it Primary Slam and Vortex Bubble!" explained the tamer with a bit of a spark. "Desais I think I want you to work on your blazing fire and divine ray attacks, it would really help if we could get more long ranged attacks like that." Jacob said to Kudamon. "Now Iken, I think you can increase your boom bubble the same way Jr. is, however I would like to improve that spinning shot for how sharp your ears are." he said finally finishing.

Jr. began flying high into the air and diving down like he had before in the forest. Every time he would get low enough he would spread his ears and use the forward momentum to attack a nearby tree. Kudamon opened its mouth and began blasting away, alternating between his divine ray and blazing fire. He was trying to produce stronger and quicker versions every time. Finally Iken used the same training method as Jr., flying up and using the sudden momentum to propel himself forward. The only difference was he was trying to cut the tree rather than smash it.

The tiny Patamon's wings were much to small to pull of the feat that he was trying to accomplish, maybe it was because of the added wind within the howling forest that allowed for him to do so. Everytime the Patamon would go up to stop he would fall flat on his face and slide slowly across the ground.

As Kudamon attacked his divine ray would split a hole in his blazing fire, making a halo, the range of the halo wasnt as great as that of the blazing fire but if the Kudamon could produce the effect in his mouth prior to releasing the attack he may have a short ranged blast on his hands. As the Kudamon fired off attack after attack it was bound to attract some thing. A nearby flock of Demi Devimon begin to head in Jacob's direction.

Since there were no tree's in the Dark Area Iken could only fly about in circles easily turning in the air

"That's great Kudamon, try your blazing halo once more!" Jacob said trying to coach his partner. Kudamon opened its mouth and formed its blazing fire attack. After that it formed the divine ray creating a small hole in the center. Canceling the divine ray he tried to shoot the blazing halo, to create the new attack. Iken merely used the dive bomb technique to try and slice the ground with its ears as there was a lack of tress. Jr. gave up on the dive bomb and trained with the spinning boom bubble.

Kudamon prepared the blast once more, however it wasnt complete and before he could release it the attack fizzled out, with its center gone it didnt have much in the way of staying stable, with a bit more practice the digimon could most certainly turn his blazing fire into a blazing halo

As Iken came down he realized his ears were much to fragile to slice something as large as the ground and ended up injuring himself in the process, with his left ear hurt the digimon would no longer be able to fly (-2)

Without the added wind it would take some time for Jr. to succesfully turn spin and shot a boom bubble at the same time

Jacob decided that this would be a good time to stop training and rest for a while. The tamer recalled his digimon and awaited the arrival of the DemiDevimon flock. "I hope we can get some better training it, now that it's going to be a live battle." Jacob said clutching his digivice. His knuckles were white with concentration.

The tamers digimon didnt get much rest, the flock was upon him instantly, a bunch of evil whispers all sang out, but none of it could be made out by the tamer. The flock was much to large to count, but all of the Demi Devimon within it seemed to overtake the tamer and it felt like he was stuck inside of a cloud. The Demi Devimon didnt attack however which was odd, they simply floated about creating a column and rotated ever so slightly

Demi Devimon Flock: 200 HP

"DemiDevimon, I've run into your kind before. What are you up to, why aren't you attacking? Are you waiting to prey on my digimon?" Jacob questioned the flock. The tamer wanted to see where this would go before he tried anything too rash. If they wanted to fight, they would have attacked long before then. DemiDevimon tended to be cowards, so if they were going to hurt the tamer they would have before he could have released his digimon, which were unknown to the flock. For all they knew, he could of had a champion or two under his belt.

The Demi Devimon paid the tamer no mind, they just continued their hypnotic whisper, their voices this time were more melodic and almost sounded like a song. Jacob felt his strength wane slowly, it wouldnt be to much longer until the tamer was no longer conscious, and being unconscious in the dark area was probably the worse thing that could happen to a human. The Demi Devimon's twisting seem to have an even greater effect on the hypnotic melody that they had began to encite.

Demi Devimon Flock: 200 Hp

Jacob finally gave in and released all of his digimon into the center of the flock. Kudamon seeing the situation immediately used his holy field ability. This not only weakened the flocks hypnotic spell, it also increased the power of his next attack. "Divine Ray" A beam of light shoots from the bottom up hoping to destroy as many as possible. A moment later, Iken and Jr. leap out of the swarm and use boom bubbles to try and break any remaining formation.

The holy field did provide a small advantage to the light digimon, however Kudamon was still outnumbered. The hypnotic spell however had worn off for the time being. Jacob's Patamon Iken hadnt recovered from its training injury yet and was still unable to fly.

As Kudamon released its Divine Ray a few of the Demi Devimon began to fall out, but their numbers were still to great to be broken by a single rookie digimon. The Boom Bubbles released by the two Patamon created a small hole which was soon cleared up, their attacks were not of the light type and didnt seem to do as much damage as Kudamon's had, as the digimon regather the entire flock stops and their eyes light up a ruby red

Pico Dart Storm

Pico Darts rain in from every which direction hitting not only the digimon which had gathered in the center of the flock but also the tamer Jacob. The tamer still recovering from the hypnotic melody felt his strength weaken. If the tamer didnt make haste the battle would be over quickly.

Kudamon: 35 Hp

"Kudamon, you've got to do this buddy. Use Blazing Halo!" Jacob said falling down to one knee. Kudamon opened its mouth and formed the blazing fire and then the divine ray. Shutting down the divine ray he shot the ring of fire up a the swirling digimon. "Boom Bubble" Jr. shot a weak boom bubble at the back of the flame in hopes of giving it a little more power with the added oxygen.

After the flame attack had settled, Iken used his tamer to leap into the air. "Spinning Shot" Spinning around the small digimon shot three blades of air into the flock hoping to disperse them a little bit more.

The halo forms perfectly for a moment but begins to fizzle ever so slightly as if it were not stable, the Boom Bubble moves to the very center of the shaky halo causing it to burst out in a strange shockwave of holy light. The flock of Demi Devimon are blinded by the strange phenom and many are knocked out of the flock by the blast. There however are still to many Demi Devimon to count

With his sharper ears, Iken found that he didnt need to twist as much to cut the air, and that he released 4 blades of wind now instead of the normal three, the blades cut around the Demi Devimon, but their numbers are to much for only 3 rookie digimon to take on

The Demi Devimon begin to slowly move in a circle once more and their wings begin to beat, it looks as if they are preparing a large attack

Jr. flew to the top of the column of digimon and flew into the center. At he same time Jacob moved out as Kudamon and Iken moved to exact center below the circling foes. Jr puffs up and shoots a large boom bubble into the center of the flock. "Blazing Fire" A moment later Kudamon shoot his attack straight up into the air, figuring for the speed of the attacks; the two should hit each other once in the middle of the spiraling nest of foes. In theory this would create a small explosion that would go outward breaking up the formation of DemiDevimon and stopping the attack. "Boom Bubble" Iken shot a second after trying to minimize the damage from the explosion if there was any.

The Demi Devimon watch as the Patamon begins its ascent and releases its attack, they then look down at the Kudamon and his attack and increase their fluttering. The Boom Bubble overtakes the Blazing Fire due to Jr. D.Skill and breaks through it, thanks to the secondary Boom Bubble released by Iken the attacks cancel each other out. An evil look comes over the flock of Demi Devimon's faces

Bat Flutter

All of the Demi Devimon release a devastating bat flutter knocking the tamer and his digimon every which way at once and rendering their bodies with numerous injuries. The Demi Devimon within the flock begin to whisper once more and cease their spinning. If Jacob doesnt leave soon it might spell the end for him

Jacob looked at his digivice, pressing a button the tamer released a two items he had been storing. Two digishrooms, one for Iken and the other for Jr., healing them both five points. "Give it all you've got!" Jacob exclaimed as he stood up from his crouching position. Iken used his four bladed spinning shot on the bottom portion. Kudamon blasted the foes midsection with his divine ray. Finally Jr. sent a barrage of boom bubbles down at the foes from the top.

((OOC: I don't have messenger at work anymore so from 3 pm to 11pm your time I wont respond even if I appear online. Also I can't post a mission for you, since I'm not an admin.))

Before the digimon can attack the Demi Devimon finalize their attack

Devil Whisper

Jacob's Patamon, Jr. drops out of the air and lands with a loud thud, Kudamon and Iken are quick to follow and loose all ability to fight. Before Jacob can press a button on his digivice to port back to HQ or to recall his digimon he feels his eyes getting heavy and he to falls asleep.

When Jacob arises he finds himself at a diner table surprisingly his arms and legs are unbound and for the moment he seems to be alone. His digivice is no longer on his person and he cant seem to locate any of his digimon. A fork hits a diner plate at the other end of the table and in a flurry of dark energy a Myotismon appears

"Good evening tamer, your probably wondering what your doing here, well i have a little job for you"

The Myotismon's melodic tone almost swoons those who hear it, and the Demi Devimon flock was no doubt his doing

"A perfect level digimon, this is great; I've been looking for a powerful ally in the digital world after all. Now, what is it that you need me for?" Jacob asked the human like digimon on the end of the table. Jacob examined the room, looking at it from end to end giving it a near microscopic inspection. He was a bit worried about his digimon and his digivice. However Jacob knew that if the Myotismon needed him for something, his digimon would be safe.

[Ginrai]

The Myotismon summons a small bat with the letter "A" on its forehead, it flys across the table presenting Jacob with his digivice, the bat then turns into a ring which situates itself on Jacob's finger. Without a trace of movement the Myotismon stands at the window over looking a thunder storm within the dark area

"Your digimon are safe within your digivice for now, that ring which is placed on your finger will help you in the mission im about to give you"

The Myotismon speaks without even looking in Jacob's direction

"I seek evolution for one of my minions, gathering dark data has been difficult as of late, you will be my envoy and venture into the dark area, that ring will protect you from encountering any perfect digimon, i cant say much for mega as its currently outside of my power. When the ring is full the bats wings will sprout and you will return to me"

In the blink of an eye the Myotismon is at Jacob's neck and his mouth is so close to the tamer that he can feel the heat from it, the Myotismon whispers softly into the tamers ear

"Now go..."

Jacob blinks and finds himself in the middle of the dark area once more, far away from the entrance and his return key has been disabled on his digivice. The orange and purple sky of the dark area has no hints of the thunder storm which was within the Myotismon's residence and there seems to be several winding paths branching off from the current rock Jacob is situated on. All of his digimon's hp have been restored

Jacob examined the ring on his finger, it would likely notify the Myotismon if he was trying to head back to the front gate. Also his recall had been disabled, for a group of digimon they sure knew how the tamer's systems worked. Better than he did at least. Being in the middle of the Dark Area with only three rookie digimon was dangerous to day the least. A powerful champion, any mega, or even a small army of rookies could wipe the tamer off the map and he couldn't even return to the front gate. He wondered if the ring would save him from such a fate or not.

"Oh well, at least there is a chance I might get an ally out of this whole ordeal." Jacob said walking further in. The tamer clenched his digivice tightly to the point his knuckles turned white. This was a terrifying ordeal, he would much rather leave than help a dark digimon; even if it may help him out in the end.

Spotting a tamer within the digital world, a Demi Devimon dove down, but he quickly saw the ring on Jacob's finger and a feeling of fright took over him and he flew off in a panic. It seemed that the ring wouldnt work on digimon that would normally serve under a Myotismon. The Dark Area felt empty without any of the random encounters from any Demi Devimon

As Jacob continued his trek a flush of data flew throughout the air, no doubt a digimon was just extinguished and its matter was about to take on a new form. The data recompiled itself into a treasure box but a few feet away from Jacob. The treasure box however was out of the way, and it could be a trap

The question of if it was a trap wasn't really important. Jacob needed the data and ever if it was a trap this was something he had to look into. With how rare it seemed to be to actually find a weaker foe, the tamer had to trying about anything to finish the mission. This mission in many ways was much more important than any he had or even will go on in the guild.

Now the real question is, how good of a trap is the box? Jacob walked over to the chest and looked around. The tamer release his Patamon Iken, and had it stand beside him. Taking a deep breath the tamer tried to open the box and pull away quickly. If something were to leap out of the box, Iken would attack the moment it shown hostility toward the party.

<Obtain Misc Data: Leviathan Spear>

As the data from the treasure box floods into Jacob's digivice, the tamer hears a snicker which is shortly followed by another snicker. The snickers seemed to come from all directions, before Iken could react the land mass connecting the area where Jacob was, and the area he had been was destroyed. From all directions a flood of Goburimon, and Shamamon rise from the sides of the land mass there clubs in hand encircling the tamer and his lone digimon

"Give us that data"

A slew of fireballs are launched at Jacob nearly missing him and his Patamon, they were no doubt warning shots

With Iken's sleek and powerful ears he was able to shoot into the air and cover a a seven foot distance quickly. "Spinning Shot" From above Jacob's head Iken began raining down airblades upon the foes surrounding it and its tamer. A bright light filled the area, Jr. and Kudamon appeared next to their tamer as Iken attacked. A bright light filled the area as Kudamon's earrings glowed brightly as it used its extreme light shock technique. Using its large ears, Jr rose high into the air.

Upon seeing the sleek Patamon and his reinforcements, the Goburimon and Shamamon went on the offensive, a few were flung into the air by their nearby counterparts while the others created a few fire balls

Goburi Strike

The wind managed to hit a few of the Goburimon/Shamamon but not the ones that were airborne, Kudamon's light from his earring shines blinding a good portion of the masses, just when it appeared like things were safe a Goburimon and a Shamamon flew down from the sky one landing directly on Jr.

Goburi Bomb/Shama Bomb

The shockwaves released from the attack caused slight damage to Kudamon and caused Jacob to loose his balance for a moment. The Shamamon who were on the very outer rim of the land mass generated purple rings from their clubs

Mad Twist

The purple rings fired from the clubs of the Shamamon managed to hit the airborne Patamon returning him to the ground. The Goburimon/Shamamon take a moment to celebrate as they raise their clubs over their heads

Iken used his sleek feature to quickly fly around and maneuver between the Goburimon and Shamamon. The Patamon used its wing slap attack trying to go around and blind the foes one by one with its razor sharp wings. "Divine Ray" Kudamon aimed its beam of light at one of the digimon pinning Jr. down. A second later Jr. puffed up with as much as as it could trying to displace the other digimon enough for Jr. to turn and take aim from point blank range. The air bubble shot out at the foe.
